Cash Rewards from FINTY

This is the 3rd rewards I get from FINTY, a financial comparison website!

I received $20 from FINTY as promised on its promotional website, where rewards are also applicable for existing Standard Chartered cardholders.

This time round FINTY is more efficient in delivering their rewards, as I got it within a few weeks after my card approval. However, I had yet to receive any cash rewards from Standard Chartered, which is also $20 for existing cardholders, as written on its card promotional website.

Thank you FINTY

I was browsing around and stumble upon the promotions with the benefits stated for Standard Chartered Spree Card. From its advertisement, it stated that you can receive up to $60 cashback monthly, with no minimum spend.

The design of the card is quite unique and attractive as well. It gives a sense of breeze feeling. This card has collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank and Singpost.

For more information on exclusive card privileges, please refer to Standard Chartered Spree Credit Card page.

Cash Rewards from FINTY & Standard Chartered Bank

This is the 2nd rewards I get from FINTY, a credit card comparison website!

It was another great experience with FINTY website, as they gave me a sense of feeling that the company is reliable and also process the rewards redemption as promised on their promotional page.

I received $30 cash rewards from FINTY upon approval of my Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card. If you aware the cash rewards I get is lower than the rewards shown promotional screen capture below. The reason is because during the time I apply, the rewards is lower, and now they had increased to $50, which is higher. That's definitely a better deal for those who had yet to apply.

Thanks to FINTY again!

Nevertheless Standard Chartered is very efficient as well. I received their $138 cash rewards just within a few days after I activate my Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card.

That’s the best experience I ever had with the rewards from credit card without any minimum spending required. Unlike other competitor banks, where it always comes with the terms and conditions which required a minimum spending of at least a few hundred bucks in order to receive the card application rewards.

Thanks to Standard Chartered for such great customer experience!

Do notes, the $138 cash rewards for card application is only applicable for new to bank customer, and you must not have any existing or previously cancelled credit cards in the last 12 months. Aside to that, I noticed there is a statement stating in the clause that the Eligible Card has to be activated within 30 days from the card approval date, and the card has to be remaining active for more than 6 months.

For more details please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Standard Chartered rewards redemption eligibility.

Cash Rewards from FINTY

I would like to share the experience I had with Finty, a financial comparison website.

Last month I browse through their website and the promotion of CIMB Visa Signature caught my attention. After reading through the benefits and highlights of this card, I decided to apply for the card.

Within less than 2 weeks, I got my card approved and mail to my home. That’s certainly a great and convenience experience.

Finty customer service were then transferred me with cash reward of SGD $5 upon card approval as promised on their promotional page.

Although the amount don’t sounds big and fancy, but at least I would say their processing response are reliable and fast.

Thank you FINTY

Service Gesture by Standard Chartered Bank

As my commitment towards my journey of reaching first bucket of 1 Million SGD, I think I would share everything that relevant to financial journey here, as long as the financial stuff is relevant to my journey.

I would like to share a great experience I had with Standard Chartered recently.

Just a couple weeks ago, I perform a fund transfer transaction via my Standard Chartered Bank internet banking service. However, the transaction was unsuccessful and with SMS notification sent during the night informing on the transaction failure due to technical issue. I was also informed that I will be receiving SGD$20 as a service gesture.

Exactly a week later, I was credited with SGD$20 as a compensation for the technical issue. Being one of their customers, who received such premium service; this is definitely a happy experience. Such gesture really makes us as a customer feels that we are well taken care of being their customer and every single difficulty we experience on their banking services is promptly notified.

If the best things in life are “Free”, why not give your customer the best thing for “Free”? If it only cost your business a dime and it’s likely to encourage your customer’s loyalty, I think that’s worth for such genuine gesture.

That’s an excellence skills I learn from Standard Chartered Customer Service team on how they helps to retain and encourage customer loyalty in a business. I would like to sincerely thank to their Customer Service team for the great job!

Thank you Standard Chartered

Latest update as of 29/06/2017 @$1.32:
  • Alibaba Group Holding announced that it is investing an additional US$1 billion in Lazada Group, raising its stake from 51% to 83% in the Southeast Asian e-commerce company in an effort to expand its footprint in the region.
  • Lazada was founded in 2012, and has its headquarters in Singapore which also operates in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines.
  • With the financial support and collaboration, Alibaba has provided Lazada with several benefits, including access to a wider range of merchants and improving its logistics capabilities.
  • Lazada has been expanding its offerings over the last year, buying Singapore-based online grocer RedMart and tying up with companies such as Netflix and Uber [UBER.UL] for a membership program.
  • Will this bring positive impact to SingPost as Lazada has its warehouse operation collaborations with SingPost?
  • In my personal opinion, the e-commerce expansion of Southeast Asia market by Alibaba on Lazada going to bring more business order for Lazada, and this will indirectly involve an expansion of warehouse in order to support the huge business in the future. That could possibly be an opportunity to bring a positive impact to Singpost profits as well.

Latest update as of 17/05/2017 @$1.31:
  • SingPost announced that Lazada Singapore has moved its warehouse operations to SingPost Regional eCommerce Logistics Hub in Tampines Logistics Park.
  • With investments by Alibaba in both companies, the move allows Lazada and SingPost to leverage on each other’s strengths to meet rising eCommerce demand in Southeast Asia. Lazada has been bought over by Alibaba.
  • The SingPost Regional eCommerce Logistics Hub integrates both warehousing and delivery hub capabilities within one building, enabling SingPost to provide Lazada faster turnaround time.
  • The combination of strengths in e-commerce and logistics will enable both companies - which have each received investment from China's Alibaba - to be in a leading position in the industry to serve a wider spectrum of customers in Singapore and the region, they said in a press release.
  • Although in my previous recap that the company likely will shows positive results in a much longer term of at least 1-2 years time. However in a short spam period with recent news such as Share Buy Back and close joint work with Lazada, I personally thinks that the price will slightly further push up.
  • Will do a short term trade of within 3 to 6 months, as current price is much lower compare to previous price bought by Alibaba at $1.48. There is still a change for the price to have a slight pull up.
  • For more details information, please refer to sources from:
